Kendellhurst Academy's school uniform supplier is Beatties. Please visit their website at www.beattiesonline.com, click “select a school”, “Kendellhurst Academy” for ordering information. After much research and thought, we chose Beatties due to their good price points, flexible return/exchange policy, quality wear and tear garments, on-line retail program, ethical manufacturing policy and social responsibility program.

Uniform pieces have the initials KA for Kendellhurst Academy on the left breast of the shirt or feature our school coat of arms and name. Students are required to attend school in full uniform and follow good grooming etiquette. Hair must be combed and clean with no loud colours or styles, thank you. Our uniform items include crested white oxford shirts, tunics, cardigans, vests, sweatshirts, gym t-shirts, shorts, and non-crested sweat pants, skorts, walking shorts, grey pants, navy tights/socks.

We also have school ties and crested blazers for upper grade (6-8) students. Junior Kindergarten children are required to have supportive, rubber soled slippers for indoor use. Senior Kindergarten to Grade School students must have black, appropriately supportive, mark-less and skid-less dress shoes. Supportive in-door running shoes are required for physical education days. It is a parent's responsibility to label all school and uniform items for identification.

Upon completion of enrolment, we request that you take the time to visit Beatties located in Oakville to have your child properly fitted for the uniform pieces. We recommend visiting their store by the end of June/July to ensure your order is ready before the beginning of September. Students are required to attend classes in their school uniform from the first day of classes in September to the last day of classes in June, excepting posted dress down days. Upper grade students (6-8) are required to be in full formal dress on Tuesdays (crested blazer and oxford shirt with school tie and kilt/grey pant) commencing October 1 st to May 30th and all posted event days and in-door school trips. Please see the enclosed Beatties School Uniform form for mandatory school uniform pieces. For our grade level students, on Wednesdays we have our East Meets West (martial arts, tai chi and yoga) and Hip Hop Dance physical education rotation program. Fridays are regular physical education days. Students must come dressed in their gym uniform for all classes on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Please note that uniforms are not in effect for the summer months of July and August. If you have any questions regarding our School Uniform Policy, please see our School Registrar. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Paula Carrasco-Kendell, Hon. B.A., B. Ed., (OCT), M.A.T., M. Ed., (OISE/UT Candidate),
Kendellhurst Academy Director and Co-Owner
